About Me

I graduated in Mathematics (5-yr) in the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (2004).

In addition, I completed the following Master degrees:
       - Meteorology and Climatology (2-yr) in the Universitat de Barcelona (2004),
       - Ocean, Atmosphere and Continental Surfaces (1-yr) in the Université Paul Sabatier (2005),
       - Marine Sciences (1-yr) in the Universitat de Barcelona (2007), and
       - Quantitative Techniques of the Financial Markets (1-yr) in the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (2016).

I have carried out my research in the following institutions:
       - Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya (2003-04),
       - Centre National de Recherches Météorologiques (2005),
       - Parc Científic de Barcelona (2005-08),
       - Institut Català de Ciències del Clima (2008-16),
       - California Institute of Technology (2013-15), and
       - Barcelona Institute for Global Health (since 2017).

In 2011, I completed my Ph.D. in climate predictability, El Niño-Southern Oscillation and climate change under the supervision of Dr. Xavier Rodó.

After the Ph.D., I worked as a Marie Curie fellow in the California Institute of Technology and the Institut Català de Ciències del Clima.

Since 2017, I am working as an Assistant Research Professor in the Barcelona Institute for Global Health.
